Beginner Guide for MS Office 365 Basic (For End User)

Note: This guide is NOT for MS365 Admin. Part 1 Login and Application Provided

There are multiple ways to logged in into your account, but we prefer to logged through the following portal because there listed all services that available for the user that the company has assigned.

Login URL: https://portal.office.com

Entered your email address that given by your IT Admin (ex: yourname@companydomain.com)

> Click Next

Then entered password provided by your IT Admin

> Click Next

Then entered password provided by your IT Admin

> Click Next

And you will arrived at the following page

For MS365 Basic, the application provided is as per follows;

  1. Mailbox with your own domain = 50GB Per head
  2. One Drive Cloud Drive = 1TB Per Head
  3. Microsoft Sharepoint
  4. Microsoft Team
  5. Word Online
  6. Excel Online
  7. Powerpoint Online

Move your mouse cursor (Mouse pointer) on the icon on the left side bar in the page to check application description. 

Part 2 Change Your Password

If you want to change your password move your cursor to the top right side as marked in the following picture;

Then it will bring you to the following pages, select the following box and it will asked for old password and new password. I highly recommended you to use password that differ than other your personal account for security purposes.

Part 3 Email Mailbox

On the left menu, look for  “O” icon, its an outlook Icon. 

Clicking the outlook icon will bring you to your mailbox within the browser. Please take note, that this version of outlook is fully on the cloud, and NOT OUTLOOK on your PC.

If you are previously user of the @live.com email, the interface provided is more or less the same. If you are Gmail user, it will not take long for you to fully understand the features provided.

The features provided are as per listed on the left side menu.

Part 4 How to Change Email Signature

To change email signature, please follow the following step. 

Reminder for our customer we provide free signature creation services for our customer, as such please DO NOT change the pre set font that has been set for you, just remove the section that you did not need, and fill the empty section by strictly following the pre set existing details. If it bold, the follow the bold, it the section is not bold, then do not bold those word. 

Part 4 One Drive

If you follow our step from the beginning, you can check your browser tab to go back to the first tab of office.com, if Not, simply type office.com and you will ended up in the following page and move your cursor (mouse pointer) to cloud icon which represent OneDrive.

Once you click it, you will ended up on this page.

All the files uploaded into here cannot been seen by others unless shared by you. However, we only recommended that you only kept office related files here and do not use it for personal private use.

You can also installed the OneDrive on your PC for automatically sync your computer files into your OneDrive, for Windows 8, and 7, you will need to download the software and install on your PC.

For Windows to, look for OneDrive icon on your pc, if its gray with crossbar icon on top of it, you can simply click it, and logged in using your company account. If you already had existing OneDrive Account, you can add another one by following this step.

  1. Right Click on OneDrive icon.
  2. Help And Settings
  3. Settings
  4. “Add an account”

Part 5 Microsoft 365 Sharepoint

If you follow our step from the beginning, you can check your browser tab to go back to the first tab of office.com, if Not, simply type office.com and you will ended up in the following page and move your cursor (mouse pointer) to icon “S” which represent Microsoft 365 Sharepoint.
